About

Two hands, one shop.

The Family Isness started in a garage, with a father, a son, and a shop full of tools. We believe that what simply "is" is already enough - so instead of starting from scratch, we start with what's already here: an old bike, a bar fitting, a fallen tree, pipe from a job site, wood with a past. Piece by piece, we turn it into something new: a lamp, a tray, a table - created fresh, repurposed, or restored to a former "isness."

Every piece we make is one of a kind. Nothing is mass-produced, and no two pieces of reclaimed material are ever quite the same, so nothing in the shop looks quite like anything else.

Got a question about a piece, or something you'd like us to build? Reach out through our contact page - we'd love to hear from you.
